The department of Commerce and Centre for Research has organized a two day workshop on Social Science Methods and Data Analysis on 24th and 25th of March 2017. In total 56 participants participated for the programme. The participants include Teachers, Research Scholars and Post Graduate Students. The sessions were engaged by Prof. Rajesh P, Assistant Professor, Government Engineering College, Thrissur and Dr. Bino Joy, PDF, ISEC, Bengaluru. The objectives of the workshop is to familiarise participants about the basics of research methodology in social science, to acquire knowledge about the nature of social science data and to help participants to understand the application of statistical techniques in social science research. The feedback forms from the participants reveals that overall the programme was very good. They also suggested that similar programmes must be organised at regular intervals to improve the talents in research.
