Department of Chemistry
Chemistry education in the college started in 1965, the year of inception of the college and offered Chemistry course at pre-degree (Plus two) level. The undergraduate (UG) level teaching started in 1978 by offering complimentary courses for B.Sc. Botany programme. It became a UG department in the year 1993 with the introduction of the UG program in Chemistry with Physics and Mathematics as complementary courses. In the year 2001, it was upgraded as a PG department.
