Library

The library is situated in the middle of the college campus. It accommodates books, international and national journals, newspapers and magazines for the benefit of the students. The library functions with LIBSOFT software system with barcode scanning facility. The documents in the library are bar-coded for circulation purposes.

Open access system is followed in the library. The library also has OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) to provide details of its resources. Users can search details about books, periodicals, CDs, question bank, Compliment books, periodical compact disks, floppy disks, and audio cassettes within the library using this facility.

Library Rules

  1. The library will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on all working days.
  2. Library books will be issued to students and staff during working hours on all working days.
  3. Private books and personal belongings are not allowed inside the library hall.
  4. Any book may be called back at any time during the period of loan. Only one book can be borrowed at a time against the library card. The maximum period of loan is fourteen days.
  5. Failure to return the book on or before the due date entails a fine of Rs. 1 per day.
  6. Failure to pay library dues or failure to return books within the due date by a student entails loss of privilege to borrow any more book from the library till the overdue books are returned and all dues are cleared.
  7. Mishandling, soiling or damaging the library book is strictly forbidden.
  8. Damage or loss of book on loan should immediately be reported to the librarian. Members are liable to replace such books or pay for the damages as fixed by the librarian. No book will be issued to such members till the loss is compensated. They are liable to pay overdue charges if the damages have not been paid within the date fixed by the librarian.
  9. Strict silence must be observed in the library.
  10. At the end of the course students need to produce a no dues certificate from the library along with the applications for TC/ certificate.
  11. The Principal reserves the right to amend or add new library rules at any time.
