Herbarium (BAM)

The Herbarium is a collection of preserved plants that are stored, catalogued, and arranged systematically for study. Herbarium of Bishop Abraham Memorial College, was recognized in January 2021 as an international herbarium for Bryophytes, Pteridophytes, Gymnosperms and Angiosperms, under the acronym BAM. Our Herbarium collection containing around 5000 of vascular plants, algae, bryophytes, fungi and 02 type specimens, which act as standards for identifying the correct name for a plant

The BAM herbarium is open for public use by appointment from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Saturday. Please contact us beforehand to make sure someone will be available to orient you and assist you if necessary. You may also use the Visit Request form given in this page for submitting a request. BAM is closed on Sunday and most national holidays.
