As the nation celebrates Azadi Ka Amrith Mahotsav, the NSS Unit of Bishop Abraham Memorial College also joined in the celebration by conducting Prabhat Pheris, actively participating in Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and by donating blood.
On 12th August the volunteers took part in Prabhat Pheri carrying independence day banner and flags and by raising slogans instilling pride about our nation in the minds of the onlookers. Dr. Neethu George (Principal, B A M College) distributed national flags to the volunteers exhorting them to hand over those flags to nearby households and ensure Har Ghar Tiranga. Dr. Jessyamma Kurian (Associate Professor & Head, Department of Physics) addressed the volunteers on the occasion reminding them about their duties and responsibilities as citizens of this great nation. The volunteers pledged to bear in mind their duties and to shoulder their responsibilities and contribute to the wellbeing and progress of the nation.
