B A M College community celebrated Women’s Day on 8 March 2022, under the banner of B A M Women’s Cell. Ms. Sajini Deena Mathew (Writer, Head of the Department of Malayalam, Bishop Moore College, Mavelikkara) delivered the Women’s Day message.
Ms. Sajini Deena Mathew a teacher turned author delivered the women’s day message, highlighting the role of women in the society. She exhorted the young ladies of B A M College to gain confidence and financial independence to spread their wings and chase their dreams. Dr. Bindu A. C. (Co-ordinator, Women’s Cell) delivered the welcome speech. Ms. Rajasree S. (Assistant Professor, Department of Physics), an emerging poet, recited her poem on motherhood titled, ‘Panineerppoovu’ and Ms. Sunitha Krishnan (Co-ordinator, Women’s Cell) delivered the vote of thanks.
The programme was rendered colourful with a flash mob, group dance and solo performances by the students. The students also took active participation in the debate competition on the topic ‘Will Dowry System become Outdated”. Jackson Mathew of II BSc. Physics won the prize for the best debater.
